General Contract & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the agreement between Tcpetcare Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) and the Client (“you”, “your”) for the provision of pet care services. By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.and Conditions


1. Definitions
  • “Services” – pet care services provided by Tcpetcare Ltd, including but not limited to dog walking, cat home visits, dog home visits, and related care.

  • “Pet(s)” – the animal(s) in our care under this Agreement.

  • “Client” – the pet owner or authorised representative requesting our Services.


2. Bookings & Payment

2.1 A booking is confirmed once payment terms are agreed and (where required) a deposit is received.
2.2 Full payment must be made by the agreed due date. Failure to pay may result in suspension of services.
2.3 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our discretion.


3. Cancellations & Refunds

We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be as fair and flexible as possible. Our cancellation terms are designed to reflect the genuine costs and time lost when bookings are cancelled.

3.1 As-needed bookings

  • More than 7 days’ notice: full credit if payment has been made.

  • Exactly 7 days’ notice: 50% credit if payment has been made.

  • Less than 7 days’ notice: up to 100% of the agreed fee may be charged where we cannot reasonably rebook the slot.

3.2 Ongoing bookings

  • 24+ hours’ notice: no payment due for the cancelled date(s).

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: full payment required for that date.

3.3 Company cancellations
If we cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full credit towards future services.


4. Client Responsibilities

4.1 You confirm your Pet(s) are:

  • In good health, fit for exercise, and free from contagious conditions.

  • Fully vaccinated (where applicable) and up to date with flea and worming treatments.

4.2 You must disclose any behavioural issues (e.g. aggression, anxiety, fear triggers).
4.3 You must provide all necessary equipment (lead, harness, litter, food, medication, etc.) in safe working order.
4.4 You authorise us to access your property for the agreed purpose and confirm it is safe and secure.


5. Pet Welfare & Safety

5.1 Your Pet’s welfare is our priority. We will act in your Pet’s best interests at all times.
5.2 We may refuse or terminate services if a Pet poses a risk to itself, the public, other animals, or our staff.
5.3 Group walks are not provided unless otherwise agreed.
5.4 Reasonable adjustments may be made (e.g. shorter walks in extreme weather, indoor play when unsafe to go outside).


6. Emergencies & Veterinary Care

6.1 In the event of illness, injury, or emergency, we will:

  • Attempt to contact you immediately.

  • If you cannot be reached, seek veterinary care at your Pet’s registered vet (or the nearest available vet if necessary).

6.2 You agree to cover all veterinary costs, including emergency treatment.
6.3 While we take all reasonable care, we are not liable for illness, injury, or death of a Pet while in our care except where caused by our proven negligence.


7. Liability

7.1 Tcpetcare Ltd holds public liability insurance.
7.2 We are not responsible for:

  • Damage or injury caused by your Pet to property, people, or other animals.

  • Loss, theft, or damage of personal items in your property.

  • Your costs of cancelling or altering your own arrangements (e.g. accommodation, travel).

7.3 Our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the Services booked, except where liability cannot legally be limited.


8. Keys & Security

8.1 Keys or access codes provided to us will be held securely and returned on request.
8.2 We accept a duty of care in handling keys but are not liable for burglaries, break-ins, or property damage unless directly caused by our proven negligence.


9. Insurance

9.1 You are responsible for ensuring your Pet(s) are insured for illness, accidents, and third-party liability.
9.2 Our insurance covers claims arising from our services but does not replace pet insurance or cover unrelated losses.


10. Data Protection & Privacy

10.1 We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
10.2 Your personal data will only be used to provide Services and will not be shared without your consent, unless required by law.
10.3 Our full Privacy Notice (including data rights and retention periods) is available on request.


11. Termination

11.1 Either party may terminate this agreement with written notice (text, WhatsApp, or email) in line with section 3.
11.2 We may terminate Services immediately if:

  • Fees remain unpaid.

  • Your Pet is aggressive, dangerous, or unfit for care.

  • You breach these Terms.

We will give reasonable notice where possible unless immediate termination is required for safety or non-payment.


12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform Services caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, illness, transport disruption, or government restrictions.


13. Governing Law

13.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.


14. Acceptance

By booking our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
